Scenic Floats

Trips are approximately 6 miles long. Time varies greatly based on the river flow. Anywhere from 2 - 4 hours.
Trip departs when you want to.
Want to have lunch on the river? bring a cooler.
This is a personalized trip based on your desires, call me to discuss your ideas and we will come up with a plan.

Not rafting with strangers.....PRICELESS!

Private raft for just your family or group for any combination of adults and/or children up to 2 adults and 4 children is $150.00 for two hours.
Additional adults $25/person
Additional children $15/child
Later season, low water or longer trips add $25/hour.

One raft holds up to 6 adults or 8 children or a combination thereof.

Cash only paid at end of trip.

Hiking, Biking and River Shuttles

So you want to ride the Hermosa Creek trail? Raft the Upper Animas? Hike the Weminuche? Yeah you do! These are the trips that make Durango......Durango!

It is a cheaper shuttle if my driver or I can hop in your car with you to your departure point and then drive it for you to your end point. Obviously we need to leave our vehicle at that end point first.

If you need my 4x4 Suburban to get you to the start, leaving your car at the end point on the way, well, we are looking at gas, wear and tear, etc. So it will be more.

If you want me to just come and get your vehicle and move it, well now you got two people involved, one to drive me there, and me to get your rig. More money.

I spent 7 years driving jeep tours in the San Juans and La Plata Canyon. What I offer our my services on your trip in your vehicle. The roads in these areas are excellent. If you have 4 wheel drive and a little clearance you can go anywhere without having to pay the big bucks, just hire me to interpret the area and show you the way. The best part of guiding for me is the sharing of information about the mining, geology, native american's, plants and wildlife, and historical context of the San Juans. Plan a trip on the alpine loop to Lake City and back. Take my favorite pass Imogene on a trip through Ouray and Telluride. Hot Springs not in any guide book? Yes. Ghost towns? Yes. Underground mine tours, working mills? Yes.

Available for half day, full day, and multiple day adventures. $25/hr
